Tragic incidents rocked Rivers State, Nigeria, with suspected cultists killing two individuals at Odiokwu junction in Ula-Ehuda, Igbu Akoh-Kingdom, Ahoada East LGA, on October 21. This attack followed another deadly incident in Edeoha Community, Upata kingdom, also in Ahoada East LGA, where four lives were lost just 24 hours prior.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Hector Chinem, residents spotted mysterious individuals in coveralls and military gear on October 20, sparking panic. Unfortunately, the invaders' intentions remained unclear until October 21, when two youths were found dead with bullet wounds.
Hector Chinem, the Public Relations Officer of Igbu-Akoh Kingdom, expressed deep regret over the recent tragic incident in Odiokwu junction, Ula-Ehuda, where two lives were lost. This devastating attack came just a day after a similar incident in Edeoha Community claimed five lives. Chinem appealed to the state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha, to take immediate action to bolster security and put an end to the menace. He stressed that the community is in dire need of protection, especially considering the loss of almost seven lives in just two days. The situation is dire, and the community is calling for swift action to prevent further bloodshed.
Call to Action
