Seattle-Area Mass Shooting: Teenager in Custody After 5 Killed, 1 Injured in Fall City
A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody in Washington D.C. on Monday, October 21, for allegedly shooting at a residence near Seattle, resulting in the tragic loss of five lives.
According to the King County Sheriff's Department, the victims included three children and two adults. Additionally, a girl residing at the home suffered injuries in the incident.
The King County Sheriff's Department reported a smooth arrest of the suspect without any complications, confirmed spokesperson Mike Mellis.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have yet to determine if all victims were members of the same family. The motive behind the violence remains unclear.
On Monday, October 21, deputies rushed to a Fall City home, approximately 10 miles east of Seattle, after multiple gunfire reports were made early that morning.
A quick-thinking neighbor, trained in basic medical care, administered first aid to the injured until emergency responders arrived.
The 15-year-old suspect is currently being held at the King County juvenile detention center. He is scheduled to make his initial court appearance either Tuesday, October 22, or Wednesday, October 23.
