BUA Cement clarifies that the truck involved in the fatal accident in Anambra on July 9 is not one of their vehicles, despite viral claims and footage. The company offers condolences to the families of the victims and emphasizes its commitment to safety and responsible transportation practices.



According to BUA Cement Plc, the vehicle that was involved in the accident in Anambra is not one of theirs.


The cement manufacturer responded to claims and footage that went viral on Wednesday, July 10, claiming that a BUA Cement truck was involved in the event.


Five individuals are said to have died as a result of the tragedy, which happened on Tuesday, July 9, at the Green Energy Oil and Gas filling station in Eke Awgbu, Anambra state.


BUA Cement stated that the truck involved in the tragedy is not associated with their company, even as they offered their condolences to the families of the victims.


As per BUA Cement, “We have received numerous online reports, including those published in the Tribune newspapers, as well as a circulating video, linking a purported BUA Cement truck to the unfortunate accident on Agulu-Agwubu Road in the Orumba north local government area of Anambra state.


“While we sincerely commiserate with the families who have lost their loved ones in this accident, we wish to set the record straight: the truck in question does not belong to BUA.


“The truck involved in the accident in Anambra State on Tuesday July 9, is in any way a BUA Cement truck.”
