Mustapha Lawan, the suspect, is accused of spying on his co-tenant's wife while she was using the restroom.

After that, the complainant—his co-tenant's wife—sought remedy, which led to the Lawan being brought before a Shari'a court.

The lawsuit accused someone of intimidating and violating a woman's privacy.

In his not guilty plea, the accused refuted every accusation made against him.

However, Khadi Isa Rabi'u Kademi Gaya of the Shari'a Court granted him bail, and the case has been postponed until July 10 for a hearing.
