Multichoice To Hike DStv, GOtv Bouquet Prices From May 1

Amid growing operating costs, Multichoice raises the price of DStv and GOtv subscriptions.

A price increase for Multichoice Nigeria's DStv and GOtv subscriptions has been announced.

Multichoice informed clients that the higher charges would take effect on May 1 in an email.

The increase in prices was justified by the pay-TV company, citing an increase in operating costs.

Considering that Multichoice has raised prices three times in a single year, it appears that the public now views the company as an enemy.

We understand the impact this change may have on our valued customers and partners, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision,” Multichoice said in the email.

Customers on the DStv premium bouquet will start paying N37,000 from N29,500 on May 1, according to the pay-TV company, while those on Compact+ will pay N25,000 from N19,800.

Customers on Compact Bouquet would now pay N15,700 instead of N12,500, according to the organization.

Customers will pay N9,300, N5,100, and N3,600 from N7,400, N4,200, and N2,950, respectively, to subscribe to the Confam, Yanga, and Padi packages.

Additionally, there was an N4,000 rise in the cost of Xtraview bouquets, HDPVR Access Service, and access fees.

GOtv Supa+ subscribers will now pay N15,700 instead of the previous N12,500, according to Multichoice.

Customers on the GOtv Max bouquet would pay N7,200 instead of N5,700, and subscribers on the GOtv Supa bundle are anticipated to spend N9,600 from N7,600.

GOtv Jolli's package will now run you N4,850 instead of N3,950, the business said.

Moreover, Multichoice announced that the GOtv Jinja bundle would now cost N3,300 instead of N2,700, and that GOtv Smallie users would now have to pay N1,575 rather than N1,300.
