Kaduna APC Names Naymarie Musa Acting Woman Leader After Sacking El-Rufai's ally

Naymarie Musa has been named the new Acting Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State. This comes after Maryam Sulaiman, the former office bearer, was suspended.

The political dispute regarding the state's debt profile, which Sulaiman had defended in favor of the administration of recently-departed Governor Nasir El-Rufai, is the backdrop to the leadership transition.

Musa brings a plethora of expertise to her new position from her time serving as the State's Assistant Woman Leader for the ruling party.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday at the party headquarters in Kaduna, Musa conveyed her desire to promote harmony and fortify the party's standing before the next general elections.

“I am deeply committed to serving the women of Kaduna State with dedication, integrity, and passion,” said Musa. She presented her ideas for an inclusive government that would prioritize women's issues and guarantee accountability and involvement among party members.

Under her leadership, she emphasized the significance of giving women's interests first priority. “My duty and commitment is to consolidate on the 'Sustain Agenda' of Governor Uba Sani and to deliver effective leadership to achieve new developmental heights,” she continued. In an interview with journalists on Thursday at the party's Kaduna headquarters, Musa said she was excited to promote harmony and fortify the party's standing before the approaching general elections.
