Army Recovers Weapons, Kills Three Militants In Kaduna

THE terrorists were neutralized on Friday, April 5, while traveling to fix their motorcycles, according to a statement released by Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, an Army spokesman, on Saturday, April 6. Motorcyclists have a history of being used by terrorists to travel around and commit acts of terror against the people of Kaduna State and the Northwest region.

Acting on reliable intelligence, the forces engaged the terrorists in gun combat and neutralized three of them throughout the operation, according to Nwachukwu.

He stated that in order to protect public safety and security, the Army is still dedicated to continuing counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations.

“We therefore enjoin members of the public to continue to support Nigerian Army troops and other security operatives as they continue to strive to mitigate security challenges in the country,” he said.
