Oba Oyelaran, Oloro of Oro Kingdom, Has Passed Away
Oba AbdulRafiu Olaniyi Ajiboye Oyelaran I, the Oloro of Oro kingdom in the Irepodun local government of Kwara state, has departed from this life.
According to a statement given to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Ilorin on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), the monarch accompanied his forefathers in the wee hours of Saturday.
In the statement, Governor Abdulrazaq referred to the late monarch as a guy who was passionate about his kingdom's growth, a peacemaker, and a father figure to everyone.
The statement said, “Governor Abdul Razaq said the Oloro will be missed for his forthrightness, his commitment to peace and unity, and his successes.
“He prays to Almighty Allah to grant forgiveness and Al-jannah Firdaus to Oba AbdulRafiu, and to give the people of Oro Kingdom and his family the strength to carry on his fine legacies.”
Additionally, the people of the Oro kingdom have received condolences from Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, the Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council and the Emir of Oro, on the passing of Oba Abdulrafiu Ajiboye Oyelaran I, the Oloro of Oro.
In a condolence message, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari characterized the late Oba Oyelaran as a monarch with a strong commitment to the development of human capital and the community.
He declared: “He was a peaceful monarch, innovative and committed to the development of his community and subjects. The entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council commiserate with the government and people of the state over the colossal loss,
“May Almighty Allah comfort the family members both immediate and extended, Oloro-In-Council, as well as residents of the community over the unfortunate incidence.”
Thus, the Emir prayed to Almighty Allah, asking Him to pardon his transgressions, recognize his good actions, and grant him entry into Al-janatul firdaus.
