Nollywood legend Amaechi Muonagor dies of kidney failure

Social media has been rattled by the sudden death of Nollywood legend Amaechi Muonagor.

Renal failure claimed the life of Muonagor, who was well-known for his extraordinary contributions to the Nigerian film industry. He battled the illness and had dialysis therapy.

Many were surprised by his death, particularly in light of the recent viral video that went viral in which he begged for money to help with a kidney transplant.

He was a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), but neither the organization nor his family have released an official comment on his passing, despite the flood of condolences and tributes on social media.

This regrettable incident happened shortly after another loss in the Nollywood community—the passing of fellow actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu.
