According to Nigeria's First Lady, Remi Tinubu, Nigerians who relocate outside take up jobs they wouldn't do at home.

In an interview, she emphasized how crucial it is for Nigerians to help one another and those in need rather than going overboard with their leisure expenditures.

She continued by saying that even though she supports social development, she thinks that since the government cannot feed the entire country, assistance should only be given to those who really need it.

The First Lady stated her opinion that people who are wealthy have an obligation to help others who are less fortunate.

Remi Tinubu also spoke about the way that poverty is perceived in Nigeria, pointing out that those who don't own material belongings like homes or automobiles are frequently categorized as poor even when they are not.

The absurdity of highly educated Nigerians finding themselves in low-paying occupations overseas, like cab driving, that they would never contemplate in their own country, even with their credentials, was another point she made.
