Nigerian Caregiver In UK Slumps And Dies 6 Months After Relocating
Nigerian lawyer working as caregiver slumps and dies just six month after moving to the U.K.
A Nigerian lawyer named Chidimma Susan Ezenyili, also known as Suzy, passed away six months after moving to the UK.
It was reported that Suzy, a caregiver, tragically died two days after collapsing at work on Thursday, February 22.
The 37-year-old found it difficult to work because she was determined not to leave her 86-year-old client, Lan Hale, for whom she had been providing care for the previous five months. Lan Hale lives on Scott Road.
In an effort to provide a better life for their toddler daughter, Mandy, Suzy and her husband Friday departed Nigeria in August 2023 and moved to the UK, where they have been employed as caregivers under sponsorship visas.
She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge after collapsing, and upon arrival, the critical care unit physicians in the neurosciences department found that she had suffered a severe brain stroke.
