Foreign students will work in Germany 9 months before they start their studies

International students will be able to work in Germany for nine months prior to starting their studies.

Regulations pertaining to employment and education have been modified.

With these modifications, international students will find it simpler to work part-time while getting ready to study in Germany.

These are a few of the significant adjustments:

1. Work Before Studying: Individuals from non-European nations may now apply for a student visa to Germany and arrive up to nine months ahead of the start of lectures. They can prepare their documentation, take language classes, and acclimate to German life during this period. They can also support themselves by working up to 20 hours a week in a part-time capacity.

2. Apprenticeships: Interested parties may travel to Germany nine months before to the commencement of their apprenticeship and work part-time while seeking for opportunities. They must demonstrate that they are under 35 years old and have some proficiency in German.

3. Additional Student Work Hours: Now, foreign students studying in Germany have additional hours to work to offset their costs. Up to 140 full days a year, or roughly 20 hours a week, are possible for them to work.

4. Extended Post-Graduation Period:

Graduates have an additional 18 months to look for work in Germany after completing their education there. After working for two years, they are even eligible to petition for permanent residence. They can now settle in and advance their careers more slowly as a result.
