The death of Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, the former goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has been announced by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
The goalkeeper, who was born in Ekiti State, reportedly lost her battle with cancer eight years ago.
The NFF released a statement on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, announcing Aluko-Olasenu's passing.
“We are sad to hear of the passing of former NGSuper_Falcons goal keeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni after an eight-year battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May her gentle soul rest in peace,” the statement read.
