Death Toll Rises: 7 people Died, Sunday's Bauchi Stampede
Following the horrific stampede that occurred at an almsgiving program in Bauchi over the weekend, no fewer than seven people have been officially declared deceased.
Six of the victims were declared dead at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi, according to police authorities, while one victim passed away at home.
This was revealed on Monday by Ahmed Wakilin, the spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, during a report on the incident.
Aisha Usman, 'f', aged 13 years of Gwang Gwang Gwang; Sahura Abubakar, 'f', aged 55 years of Anguwan; Aisha Ibrahim Abubakar, 'f', aged 43 years of Kobi Street; and Khadija Isah, 'f', aged 8 years of Karofi, were the names of the deceased that he provided.

The others are Maryam Suleiman, a 20-year-old Kandahar resident;
The two victims, Maryam Shuibu, 16, of Gwang Gwan Gwan, and Hassana Saidu, 53, of Dutsen Tanshi, are both Bauchi natives.
According to MON DIARIES, a stampeding took place at Shafa Holdings Company Plc on Jos Road in the Bauchi city on Sunday.
