Bandits invade Kaduna Primary School, shoot Pupil, abduct dozens of Pupil close to 100



Bandits storm Kaduna Primary School, shooting students and kidnapping nearly a hundred.


Dozens of students were kidnapped on Thursday morning by suspected bandits who broke into a LEA Primary School in Kuriga town, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State.


Locals who served as eyewitnesses and spoke with journalists estimated that roughly 100 students had been kidnapped.


Additionally, reports state that among the victims were the school's personnel and headteacher.


The terrible event that occurred on Thursday morning at around 8:20 a.m., right after the assembly, sent the neighborhood into disarray and terrified the locals.

According to Shitu, a resident, most of the students fled their classes when they saw the attackers on the school grounds, confirming the incident.


Lawal Kuriga, a different resident, claimed in an interview with Daily Trust that kidnappees were led into the forest.


The state government had issued an official statement.


The Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs' Overseeing Commissioner, Samuel Aruwan, was reported to have ignored a text message that was directed to him.


Further, ASP Mansir Hassan, the public relations officer for the State Police Command, was not reachable by phone and has not responded to a text message that was sent to him.
