Refrain From Criticizing The Country — Chief of Army Defence
Why it is not advisable to criticize Nigeria and its leaders Head of Defense Staff
General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, made a plea to Nigerians on Tuesday to cease criticizing their country for the current state of affairs in the nation.
While emphasizing that cursing the nation is not a good way to build a nation, Gen. Musa clarified that insulting or wishing the nation poorly does not guarantee that those who do so will become better than they already are.
Nigerians must take responsibility for their country, according to the military's top brass, who made this statement at a one-day seminar hosted by the Defence Correspondents' Association of Nigeria (DECAN) at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja.
The director-general of the Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Baba Ndace, was present at the seminar, which had as its theme “Civil Military Relations: Non-Kinetic Efforts of the Nigerian Military in Security Management, Challenges, and Prospects.”
Speaking further, the CDS stated that because non-kinetic methods are so successful in battling terrorism and other security issues in the nation, the Nigerian military is using them more frequently.
