Sam Altman, the founder and CEO of OpenAI, and Oliver Mulherin, his longtime partner, got married in a ceremony by the sea.
According to images circulating on social media, the 38-year-old tech influencer and Mulherin, an Australian software engineer, exchanged vows at an undisclosed tropical beach location surrounded by palm trees and a small group of guests.
As soon as images from the wedding started to circulate on social media on Thursday, January 11, Altman texted NBC News to confirm the information.
Altman and Mulherin were present at the state dinner that President Joe Biden threw for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House last year.
Altman and Oliver Mulherin live together in a home on Russian Hill in the center of San Francisco, as previously reported by the New York Times. However, they relocate to a ranch in Napa, California, as Friday approaches. Altman lives with his wife, Mulherin, in San Francisco and on a ranch in Napa, California.
