President Tinubu names new NAHCON and NCPC board members and management
The nomination of a new board and management group for the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) and the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has been approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The appointments were pending Senate confirmation, according to a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity.
Mr. Jalal Arab, Chairman, and Aliu Abdulrazaq, Commissioner, Policy, Personnel, & Finance, make up NAHCOM's board and management.
The others are Prof. Abubakar A. Yagawal, Commissioner, Planning & Research, and Prince Anofi Elegushi, Commissioner, Operations.
The eight new appointed NAHCOM zonal representatives include Dr Muhammad Umaru Ndagi, North Central; Abba Jato Kala, North East and Sheikh Muhammad Bin Othman, North West.
The remaining individuals are Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio of Jama'atul Nasril Islam, Tajudeen Oladejo Abefe of the South West, Aishat Obi Ahmed of the South East, Zainab Musa of the South South, and Prof. Adedimeji Mahfouz Adebola of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
In a similar vein, the President authorized the selection of nine individuals to the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission board, with Dr. Stephen Adegbite serving as secretary and Col. Aloche Adole as chairman.
Chief Prince Weli Wosu of South South, Clement Alobu Nweke of South East, and Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola of South West make up the other members.
The others are Bishop Raphael Benjamin Nwankwo of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Simon Abu Samson Dolly of North Central, Dr. Toma Hamidu Ragnjiya of North East, and Prof. Joseph Haruna Mamman of North West.
The President urged the newly appointed officials to dedicate themselves to this crucial goal and urged them to view their appointment as a chance to serve the country.
