We Will Regain All Lost Glory Of Benue State — Governor Alia
Benue will regain all that was lost to the PDP in eight years, according to Governor Alia
Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has vowed to restore the state's lost glory after years of PDP mismanagement.
Governor Alia pledged to establish a state climate that would support the people's right to democratic dividends.
He made this revelation on Saturday during a state-wide All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting at Makurdi's government house.
Governor Alia thanked the people of Benue for their kindness in choosing him and his deputy, Sam Ode, to lead the state's affairs. He also pledged that his administration will make up for all the losses the state had suffered during the previous eight years.
He told the interested parties that in order to do that, his administration, in spite of obstacles, started renovation work on the nearly deserted, run-down House of Assembly complex, which is almost finished.

Governor Alia begged Benue people to volunteer to be the first line of defense by recognizing their neighbors as a top priority and reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities so that the required steps may be taken to ensure peace.
He also informed the stakeholders that, in order to guarantee that zoning would be properly followed, his administration will work with the people to choose trustworthy individuals, including women and young people, to form caretaker committees at the third level of government.
