Gov. Adeleke Dismisses Osun Chief Judge
| Governor Ademola Adeleke |
The Osun State Government has sacked the state's Chief Judge, CJ, Justice Adepele Ojo
Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, authorized Justice Adepele Ojo, the chief judge, to be suspended in defiance of a court order prohibiting her from meddling in the legal system.
The State House of Assembly accused Justice Ojo of wrongdoing, power abuse, corruption, and contempt for the law, which led to the decision.
The Assembly suggested that the next in seniority be sworn in right away to prevent a hole in Osun State's third arm of government and asked for an investigation.
The Deputy-Governor was instructed by the Governor to conduct the Acting Chief Judge's oath of office in accordance with the Assembly's resolution.
