Israeli-Palestinian War: Gaza Strip Escalation Will Last 10 Days, According To The Iraqi Foreign Minister
According to the Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on Tuesday, the current flare-up in the Gaza Strip may endure for at least 10 days, and it is hoped that the conflict won't spill over into other nations.
During a conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, Hussein mentioned this.
"We believe that, unfortunately, the hostilities currently taking place in Gaza could last at least 10 days," the Iraqi minister said, adding that prolonged fighting might "affect neighbouring countries."
The ministry also said that in order to "stop hostilities" and resolve the Palestinian issue justly, international action is required.
The leaders of Israel's ruling coalition parties have stated their support for the establishment of an emergency administration in the interim.
Therefore, they have given Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the go-ahead to implement its formation, according to a report from the Kan radio station on Tuesday.
Netanyahu urged the opposition to establish an urgent government on Monday without any conditions.
