Westerners are worried that Kim Jong Un would lend military assistance for Moscow's intervention in Ukraine as a result of his arrival in Russia for an anticipated meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

Kim is thought to have arrived in Russia early on Tuesday, according to the South Korean defense ministry. The ministry stated in a briefing on Tuesday that it was closely watching any negotiations between North Korea and Russia over the transfer of technology and armaments. It also noted that Kim was accompanied by numerous senior military and arms industry executives.

The Kremlin spokesperson said on Monday that Kim's travel to Russia and meeting with Putin will be a comprehensive effort to fortify ties. The presidents will then continue speaking one-on-one if necessary, according to Dmitry Peskov, after agreements between the two delegations.

As he tries to stop a Ukrainian counteroffensive, US officials predict that Putin will concentrate on getting more North Korean artillery and other munitions. The American administration stated that it was closely monitoring the meeting between the two top world leaders.
