EPL: Erik Ten Hag On Why Brighton Hove Albion Defeated Manchester United
The reasons behind Manchester United's 3-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday were addressed by manager Erik ten Hag
After losing to Arsenal before the break, the Red Devils were hoping to rebound back, but Danny Welbeck, a former striker for Manchester United, gave the visitors the lead.
Prior to Mejbri Hannibal's goal for United, Seagulls' advantage was at 3-0 after Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro added to it.
Ten Hag stated the following to Sky Sports following the match: "We are disappointed. But it was a really small margin. We are so close against a good side. The first 20 minutes was all ours. We created chances but didn't score.
"We conceded a goal with their first attack. We then had a period in the game that was quite difficult, we fought to get a goal, and it was disallowed. So it is difficult in this period. It has not fallen on our side, but we will fight back, and if we stick together, play as a team, and stick to the rules, we will return."
