President Biden of the United States presents a President's Lifetime Achievement Award to a Nigerian woman


Dr. Charity Ezenwa-Onuaku, the founder and CEO of WealthyGen Inc., received the coveted President's Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden. This prestigious award, the greatest honor conferred by the American President to a member of the community, was ceremoniously given out on August 19, 2023, in Houston, Texas, as part of the celebration of World Humanitarian Day.


The Award for Outstanding Community Contributions was established in 2003 by the Council on Service and Civic Participation of President George W. Bush. The President was impressed by Dr. Charity Ezenwa-Onuaku's commitment to financial literacy through initiatives like the Women Empowerment Project (WE Project) and Financial Empowerment for Young Adults (FEYA).


Dr. Ezenwa-Onuaku thanked everyone for their support and promised to keep promoting sustainable growth and financial empowerment in her acceptance speech. She has empowered many young adults through FEYA, and through her WE Project, she has changed the lives of more than fifty widows in Nigeria such that they can now manage businesses and support their family.
