Three Players Of Nigerian Descent Are Included In England's Final U-20 World Cup Roster
Three players with Nigerian ancestry are included in England's final roster for the Argentina 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Carney Chukwuemeka, a midfielder for Chelsea, Daniel Oyegoke, a player for Brentford, and Sam Edozie, a player for Southampton, are the three players that head coach Ian Forster has selected for the team.
Chukwuemeka, who joined Chelsea last summer from Aston Villa, is anticipated to play a significant role for England in Argentina.
Right-back Oyegoke has not yet played for the first team of Brentford.
The 20-year-old was recalled from his loan stint with League One club Milton Keynes Dons in January.
Edozie, a winger, has represented Southampton in 17 league games this year.
On May 22 in Buenos Aires, England will play Tunisia in their opening match.
Iraq and Uruguay will also be opponents for Forster's team in this group.
