Obi Won't Attend Tinubu's Inauguration And Has No Plans To Stage A Protest
Labour Party's presidential hopeful. It will be "extremely weird," according to Peter Obi, for him to be there for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's inauguration.
Speaking through his assistant was Obi. In addition, Tai Obasi denied organizing a protest in advance of the new President's inauguration today.
Following rumors that the former governor of Anambra State and his Obidient movement might protest near Eagle Square in opposition to the Federal Government's insistence on holding the President-elect's inauguration, the reply was made.
Obasi said, "I don't know where that report is coming from. We don't know anything about it or who are behind the proposed protest. But I can categorically tell you that my principal is not aware of anything.
He is Obi and his followers are Obidient. I agree that on some occasion, they may act on their own, no matter how you tell them to keep calm. These guys are angry. They are not happy about how everything was manipulated against Obi who has given them so much hope. They followed him and waited for him all.
In response to claims that political parties and their presidential candidates received individual invitations, Obi's aide said, "My principal is a very humble and reasonable man who is always looking for peace and unity of the country at all costs. I don't think my principal will be attending Tinubu's inauguration." But for him to attend a celebration for a man whose election victory he is contesting in court will be quite strange.

"My principal cannot act that weird and unreasonable. I can't confirm if he receives an invitation to the swearing-in ceremony. But I am telling you that you can't see him there."
