The Federal Government declared that it has advanced in its planning for an orderly and peaceful transition on May 29.

Boss Mustapha, the Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said this on Saturday, May 6.

The phony schedule of events for the presidential inauguration that is presently making the rounds on social media has been rejected by the Presidential Transition Council, according to a statement signed by the director of information in his office, Mr. Willie Bassey.

According to the Chairman, the PTC's Inauguration Committee has advanced in its planning for the orderly and peaceful transition of power on May 29, 2023. He also said that from the week beginning on Monday, May 22, 2023, a number of authorized events would take place.

He added that the world press conference scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2023 would reveal the approved program of events.

The Chairman issues a warning to those who spread misleading information in an effort to deceive members of the general public.
