LIGUE 1: MESSI IS SET TO LEAVE PSG FOLLOWING HIS TWO-WEEK SUSPENSION
Lionel Messi will depart Paris Saint-Germain this summer after the club suspended him for two weeks for traveling to Saudi Arabia without authorization.
According to L'Equipe, the Ligue 1 leaders will no longer offer Messi a contract extension.
The 35-year-old's current contract expires at the end of the season.
Argentina's captain has been linked to a return to Barcelona as well as a few MLS clubs.
Messi is said to have begged PSG for permission after postponing a business trip there twice earlier due to team defeats.
Messi, on the other hand, did not receive consent and has now been penalised two weeks' pay.
He will miss games against Troyes and Ajaccio in the league.
