Kwankwaso and Sanusi Meets In France
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the New Nigerian Peoples Party's (NNPP) 2023 presidential candidate, met with Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi, the former emir of Kano in Paris, France.
According to information obtained by MON DIARIES, the former governor of Kano State met with the previous governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday.
It was discovered that the meeting's topic was the proposal to examine how the Abdullahi Ganduje administration had deposed the former emir of Kano.
The meeting takes place two weeks after Kwankwaso stated that the dethronement of Sanusi in Kano state would be reviewed by the new administration under Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The split of the Kano Emirate into five distinct Emirates would also be reviewed, the former governor continued.
Before the May 29 handover date to Yusuf, who won the 2023 governorship election in Kano State, Kwankwso was cited as saying this in a viral video.
According to Naija News, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje controversially deposed Sanusi as the Emir of Kano in March 2020. Additionally, the former CBN leader was exiled from Kano and delivered to Loko, a rural area in Nasarawa State.
Additionally, Ganduje selected Emirs and divided the Kano Emirate into five distinct Emirates.
