EPL: Chelsea's Chukwuemeka Departs The England Under-20 squad

Carney Chukwuemeka was removed from the England Under-20 World Cup roster after Chelsea called him back.

According to talkSPORTS, Chelsea claimed that the 19-year-old was essential to their team as they fought to improve their incredibly bad season.

Since Chukwuemeka did not withdraw due to injury, he will not be replaced in the Three Lions team, which means that only 16 players will travel to South America to compete for England.

The EFL play-offs still include four players of the Young Lions team.

Earlier, the Blues prevented 18-year-old Lewis Hall from traveling to the U20 World Cup with England. Hall started for the Blues in their weekend 2-2 tie with Nottingham Forest.
