The significance of correction in a strong judicial system has been emphasized by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This was said by him on Friday during the virtual commissioning of Kano State's Janguza, a 3,000-capacity ultra-modern detention facility.

The outgoing President maintained that maintaining a strong correctional system was essential for carrying out court orders and concluding the justice process, as well as for keeping criminals off the streets, securing society, and discouraging those who would otherwise engage in antisocial behavior.

The president also said that his administration had placed a high priority on the safety, security, and efficiency of air transportation which was the reason behind the strong Avia program. He was speaking at the virtual commissioning of projects of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace in Kano and Kaduna, namely the New Airport Terminal Building at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano State as well as Aircraft Equipment at Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State, "resulting in huge growth in the sector, making aviation one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy before COVID-19, according to National Rureau of Statistics (NBS)."

Buhari also opened the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, which had moved from Owerrinta, in Imo State, where it had been stationed for two years, to Dawakin Tofa, in Kano State. He praised the college for accelerating the training of navy logisticians during that time.

According to him, the college "undoubtedly contributes to the operational readiness of the naval fleet for economic prosperity."
