Burna Boy and Tems, two Grammy-winning Nigerian singers, made their début at the Met Gala, the world's most famous and beautiful fashion event.

On Monday night, the afrobeats stars dazzled on the red carpet of the 2023 Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City."

Burna Boy attended the event dressed in a matched black and blue somewhat checkered ensemble with a big cape-like extension of the same material flowing behind him.

Tems made a stylish statement with a handcrafted Rober Wun gown that had a black corset-like bodice, a flowing regal white skirt, and elbow-length gloves.

Dunsin Wright dressed the Oscar-nominated singer.

The 2023 Met Gala, titled "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty", also had celebrities such as Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Naomi Campbell and South African comedian, Trevor Noah in attendance.

Tems shared her excitement for her Met Gala debut in a separate interview with ESSENCE.

She said, "Oh my goodness! I have never done it [Met Gala] before. So, I'm so excited. It's my first time. It's going to be lit!"
