WHY WE HAVE NOT RESCUED NIGERIAN STUDENTS STRANDED - FG

The Federal Government has stated that it is awaiting assurances from the Sudanese government before withdrawing Nigerian students from Sudan.

Remember that approximately 4000 Nigerians are trapped in Sudan as a result of the present regional turmoil.

In a Channels Television interview on Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, stated the Nigerian Government's obligation is to guarantee that it has the complete support of the Government of Sudan before doing anything.
