PSC EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILIES OF THE FIVE POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN IMO
The Police Service Commission expresses its condolences to the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, and the Imo State Police Command following the heinous murder of five police officers.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, stated that the commission is very saddened by the killing of five police officers on duty last week.
The MON DIARIES remembers that five police officers were brutally slain last week by unknown gunmen at Okpala crossroads in Imo State's Ngor Okpala Local Government Area.
It also urged the Imo State Police Command to give the fallen officers the ceremonial funeral rituals worthy for heroes who have laid down their lives for peace-loving Nigerians.
It also stated that the Commission's Chairman, Solomon Arase, IGP, while expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, added that the commission would continue to collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force to ensure that Police Officers on duty are provided with necessary gadgets to protect themselves and fence off marauding terror gangs wreaking havoc across the country.
The statement also expresses condolences to the families of the fallen officers and prays that God may grant them the fortitude to bear this avoidable and irreparable loss.
The message further urged officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force not to back down, but to be bold in order to bring the criminals to justice.
