TROOPS APPREHEND SEVEN SUSPECTED BANDITS AND COLLECT RIFLES AND AMMUNITION IN ZAMFARA

According to the Nigerian Army, troops from Operation HADARIN DAJI apprehended seven suspected terrorists and recovered rifles and ammunition in Zamfara State.

According to Major General Musa Danmadami, Director, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, on April 22, 2023, troops conducted clearance operations in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State and neutralized seven bandits.

It went on to say that the troops demolished six bandit camps and seven motorcycles, as well as recovering two empty AK-47 magazines and a Baofeng radio.

"Following the arrest of a terrorists' informant on 21 April, 2023, troops conducted a follow-up operation and arrested 2 terrorists on 22 April, 2023 at Shinkafi town, Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State and recovered one motorcycle and three mobile phones," he said.

The military authority also congratulated the troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and asked the people to always report any suspicious faces or criminal elements for immediate arrest, according to the statement.
