THE DAVIDO DREAM FOOTBALL SHOW PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR TALENT IDENTIFICATION'
Young football talents in Nigeria and Africa in general who have been looking for a platform to demonstrate their abilities have been given the opportunity to do so.
Abu Salami Media, IXBet, and David Adeleke (Davido) have joined forces to launch a model football talent hunt program called 'The Davido Dream Football Show (DDFS) - Nigeria's Premiere Football Show.'
The show is a program to advance youth soccer, particularly at the grassroots level, with a curriculum aimed to improve fundamental technical skills and tactical awareness in young players who are devoted to competing at the top levels.
According to Mr Abu Salami, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Salami Media and Chairman of Davido Dream Football Show, the show is targeted at empowering and developing young male football talents in Nigeria and beyond Africa, aged 18 to 22.
At the launch and media presentation of the programme, on Tuesday, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Salami said: "The Davido Dream Football Show will enable young football talents to realise their dreams of becoming stars in future."
He said that the reality show would last 30 weeks, with one episode airing each week.
"First, we will organise a screening of those who will register. Once they are screened, we will organise a series of trials. From that exercise. the best among them will be selected for camping for the final show," he said, praising 1XBET, the major sponsor.
"It wasn't easy to find sponsors until I got to 1XBET, who saw that the project aligned with their philosophy of sports development and youth empowerment."
Speaking about the project, David Adeleke, president of the Davido Dream Football Show, said it is a terrific way to give back to society and uncover the untapped potential of Nigerian children.
"We all know the impact is essential and a show like this will not only engage the minds of the youths, it will birth meaningful changes and opportunities for youths across Nigeria"
