PAUL SCHOLES RECOGNIZES A PLAYER WHO CAN HELP LAMPARD LAND A PERMANENT POSITION AT CHELSEA.

Paul Scholes, a former player for Manchester United, has suggested that N'Golo Kante of Chelsea is the player who can help manager Frank Lampard get a permanent position as manager of the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

After Graham Potter was fired, Lampard was appointed Chelsea's interim manager for the remainder of the campaign.

Scholes, who acknowledged being taken aback by Kante's return to Chelsea, yet thinks it is advantageous for Lampard to have Kante in his team.

The former midfield maestro might take advantage of his opportunity at the west London club, he added.

"I was a bit surprised [by Lampard's return], especially with the way it ended at Chelsea," Scholes told BT Sport.

"His Everton time did not go great, but you can't blame Frank, he has got to take this opportunity.

"One thing that is good for Frank is they have got N'Golo Kante back. He's only played two games but makes a huge difference to the team."
