NOBODY CAN COMPEL ME TO LEAVE NIGERIA - PETER OBI RESPONDS TO FANI-KAYODE AND OTHERS
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, has stated that no one can compel him to leave Nigeria.
Obi made the remarks at the Onitsha Holiday Resort in Anambra State in response to calls for him to leave Nigeria.
Femi Fani- Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has urged Obi to leave Nigeria and never return.
Fani-Kayode made the announcement in reaction to Obi's complaint that he was being pressured to leave the nation.
On Wednesday, the last election's LP flag bearer accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other government agencies of attempting to distract the country's focus away from the irregularities that plagued the recently concluded polls.
Obi, on the other hand, stated that his party is devoted to establishing a new Nigeria because there are too many "thieves" inflicting hardship on the people.
"There is too much suffering in this nation," Obi remarked, "and that is what the Labour Party is working to end." There are a lot of thieves in the country.
"So, Labour Party is fighting to create a new Nigeria. I am here with you, and nobody is going to force me to leave Nigeria."
