1. The Peak Milk manufacturer, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, has come under fire from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for what it called an offensive Easter advertisement. Barrister Joseph Daramola, the General Secretary of CAN, demanded in a statement on Monday that the corporation take down the advertisement and apologize to Christians, or else face legal action and a boycott of their goods.
2. President Muhammadu Buhari's illness in 2017 cost him eight months of his term in office, according to Femi Adesina, the president's special adviser on media and publicity. During a TV program commemorating the achievements and legacy of the Buhari administration, Adesina stated that the President received treatment in the UK for eight months in 2017.
3. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, has urged the group of people he leads known as the "Obidient Family" to view the ongoing attacks on them as a great sacrifice necessary to save and create a workable new Nigeria. On Easter Monday, Obi said in a series of tweets that he related with his followers who had come under fire for their comments and retorts.
4. Employers in the UK's health and social care sectors are not permitted to actively recruit medical personnel from Nigeria. This information was provided by the UK in its most recent "Code of Practice" for the international hiring of health and social care staff, which was published on its website.
5. Northern senators running for the senate presidency have faced opposition from the All Progressives Congress. In order to be fair, northern senators running for the position should resign, according to the National Vice Chairman of the APC (North-West), Malam Salihu Lukman, and the party's Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, on Monday.
6. The main suspect in the recent death at the Wetland Hotel, Akobo, in Ibadan, Oyo State, of Adeshina Olayinka, better known by her Instagram handle Khadi, is currently being held by police. After the man she was with checked out early on Thursday morning, Olayinka was discovered dead.
7. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has come under fire for allegedly spreading false information during a recent trip to the United States of America, according to Ijaw leader and elder statesman Chief Edwin Clark. Clark chastised Lai for calling for an interim administration and charging treason against Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed.
8. According to the Ondo State Police Command, it is not certain whether Olorunfemi Tope, 35, who was killed by a mob on Monday in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, in the Ijoka Area, was actually an internet fraudster as claimed. After allegedly crushing not one but two people to death on Monday morning, the driver was slain.
9. The Rivers State Police Command has started an investigation into the brutality and assault by police shown in a viral social media video against a man. A video of an armed police officer punching a guy in front of his wife in Rivers State went viral on social media in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
10. A campaign has been started to stop the life pension plan of Samuel Ortom, the outgoing governor of Benue State. Governor-elect Fr. Hyacinth Alia started it yesterday by opposing a Life Pension Bill that the governor was about to send to the House of Assembly for consideration.
