NEYMAR OF PSG HAS STATED HIS DESIRE TO RETURN TO HIS FORMER CLUB - "I'LL BE BACK SOON"

Neymar, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has stated his desire to return to his childhood club, Santos.

Neymar is now out with a knee injury, but he played in Santos' Copa Sudamericana match against Audax Italiano on Thursday.

"It's nice to come back to my house," Neymar said to GOAL after the match, which he watched from one of the club's executive boxes.

"I feel at home here, so happy to be back here after ten years. Unfortunately, it was a draw, I wanted the win.

"I came here to support Santos and receive the affection of the fans.

"It was the club that gave me everything, that opened doors for me and my family, that revealed me to the world.

"One day I will be back. I will be back soon."

Neymar's contract with PSG expires in 2025, and he may choose to stay at the French Ligue 1 winners in order to complete his term before returning to Brazil as a free agent.
