MY SON WILL BE DISSATISFIED. I DIDN'T CELEBRATE THEO WALCOTT'S SCORE AGAINST ARSENAL

Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott has stated that his son would be upset if he did not celebrate his team's first goal.

Theo Walcott, a former Arsenal player, has stated that his son would be unhappy if he did not celebrate his goal against the Gunners.

Walcott put Southampton up 2-0 in the first half but resisted the urge to celebrate against his former club.

The former England international, who spent more than a decade at Arsenal, chose not to celebrate the goal that appeared to assist the Saints climb out of the Premier League's bottom three.

But Southampton departed the Emirates with mixed feelings after blowing a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with the Premier League leaders. Thanks to late goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

"My son's going to be really disappointed that I didn't celebrate but I just couldn't,' the 34-year-old told the BBC.

"It was a very indifferent day for me today, I felt like I couldn't win. Hopefully, now Arsenal can go on and win the league and beat Man City on Wednesday."
