LAGOS ELECTION: RHODES-WIFE VIVOUR'S CONFRONTS HATERS WHO WERE INSULTING HER HUSBAND OVER THEIR LANGUAGE

Ify Rhodes-Vivour has criticized those she has dubbed "bigots" for criticizing her husband, a candidate for governor of Lagos.

The scientist is the wife of incumbent Babajide Sanwo-opponent Olu's from the Labour Party, LP, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Ify urged individuals who opposed her husband to remain "constant with this lunacy" in a Friday tweet.

"This is for the Nigerian bigots who say they cannot vote for a man because he doesn't speak their language.

"I hope you maintain the same energy by receiving medical care only from doctors/surgeons who speak your language."

She bemoaned the fact that some individuals lost their life and observed how death was staring people in the face during the gubernatorial election.

Elections have consequences, according to Ify, and bigots have no influence over how others would respond once they set a precedent.

Hundreds of comments were sent in support of or opposition to the tweet, which received over 2 million views early on Saturday morning.

Rhodes-Vivour disapproved of the election results and claimed "collusion" between the All Progressives Congress, APC, and election officials.

"The results do not represent the wishes of the majority of peaceful Lagosians...results from our agents and situation room indicated we won," she claimed.
