Groups have started to push for appointments in the incoming administration after the country's electoral commission declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu the winner of the general election in 2023.

On their end, residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have urged President-elect Tinubu to appoint an Abuja native to a ministerial position when he takes office as the leader of Nigeria, in accordance with the current court decision.


Leaders in the North East demand a broad-based government


Leaders have also urged the president-elect to lead an inclusive government and to see Nigeria as a unit and work to govern it regardless of ethno-religious and political affiliation when he or she takes the oath of office on May 29, 2023, under the auspices of North East Development Association (NEDA).
