PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: MOMODU EXPLAINS HOW OBI WON IN LAGOS

Dele Momodu

The flag bearer of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, won in Lagos State in the recently completed February 25 presidential election, according to a PDP chieftain named Dele Momodu.

Momodu claimed Obi triumphed because to the, "preponderance of the Igbo people in Lagos."

On Thursday, he revealed this while participating in the Sunrise Daily breakfast program on Channels Television.

"What transpired last Saturday, the major factor was ethnic: the Labour Party was able to take over the APC behemoth because of the preponderance of the Igbo people in Lagos. They are everywhere," Momodu said.

Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, held their respective geopolitical strongholds, according to Momodu, in contrast to Bola Tinubu, who was unable to maintain his base in Lagos.
