Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the newly elected governor of Enugu State, and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai paid tribute to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at Government House in Enugu to express their heartfelt appreciation to the governor.

Mbah was declared the winner of the closely contested Enugu guber election on Wednesday night.

Others included Senator Gil Emeka Nnaji, members of the Enugu East/Isi-Uzo and Enugu North/South federal constituencies, Hon. Rt. Hon. Prince Cornelius Nnaji and Rt. Hon. Ofor Chukwuegbo, respectively; Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, Secretary to the State Government; Prof. Malachy Okwueze, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Enugu; Hon. Mrs. Adaonah Kene-Uyanwune; Uwakwe Azikiwe and Steve Oruruo, Special Advisers to the Governor on Special Duties and Information, respectively; Hon. Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie and Chief Nana Ogbodo, spokesperson for the PDP Campaign Council in Enugu State.
