'HOLD RERUN ELECTIONS NEXT SATURDAY' - OBASANJO TO INEC

Olusegun Obasanjo

Olusegun, a former president, demanded that the results from voting places where the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) wasn't implemented be thrown out.

Moreover, Obasanjo asked that the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) server's results not be considered if they had not been posted.

This was said by Obasanjo on Monday in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on the presidential election on Saturday.

"Whereas, BVAS and Servers have been manipulated or rendered inactive, such results must be declared void and inadmissible for election declaration," Mahmood Yakubu and Buhari were both advised by Obasanjo.

"Your Excellency, let all elections that do not pass the credibility and transparency test be cancelled and be brought back with areas where elections were disrupted for next Saturday, March 4, 2023, and BVAS and Server officials be changed."

The Balogun Owu warned Buhari that tension is rising across the country and demanded that Saturday's polls be dismissed as invalid and held again.

Obasanjo suggested that members include the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association in the committee, "look into what must be done to have hitch-free elections next Saturday."
