NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA SHARES THE THINGS SHE OBSERVED THROUGHOUT THE ELECTION
On Saturday, Nigeria held its seventh consecutive election under the democratic era, and Okonjo Iweala came back home to carry out her civic responsibilities.
Following the experiment, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, WTO, returned to Geneva, Switzerland, but she did not do so without disclosing what she found odd.
The election, according to Okonjo Iweala, was mainly calm and "all" of the young people in her community of Umuda Isingwu in Umuahia, Abia state, cast their ballots.
"Back in Geneva, happy to have voted & to see Nigeria's youth in action! All the young people in my village had PVCs & voted.
"Despite some challenges, thank God for a largely peaceful election. We pray for peace to prevail. Wishing all of us & Nigeria well at this important time," she wrote.
