TINUBU CAMPAIGN MANAGER AISHA BINANI RESIGNS

Senator Aishatu Dahiru-Binani

Adamawa State Coordinator for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Aishatu Dahiru-Binani, a senator from Adamawa Central, has resigned from her job.

In a statement she personally signed, Mrs. Binani announced her resignation from the office until the resolution of an appeal she filed against being disqualified from running for governor of the APC in Adamawa State.

Recall that on October 14, a Federal High Court sitting in Yola declared Mrs. Binani's victory in the state's governorship primary null and void.

"Senator Aishatu Binani steps aside as Adamawa State Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Coordinator pending the outcome of Appeal Court case filed.

"The PCC is urged to appoint an interim coordinator in the meantime," the statement read.

Her resignation comes two days after Adamawa APC's State Executive Committee, or SEC, rejected the senator's proposed lineup for the state campaign council.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Samaila Tadawus, the state APC chairperson, charged Mrs. Binani with picking the state campaign council's members on her own without contacting the party's leadership or other important parties.
