NIGERIAN-BORN AZUBUIKE BECOMES A GENERAL IN THE US ARMY UNITED STATES ARMY OFFICER
Amanda Azubuike, a United States Army officer with Nigerian ancestry, has been elevated to the rank of Brigadier General.
Maj. Gen. Antonio V. Munera, the commanding general of the United States Army Cadet Command, revealed this on November 3's first morning.
Amanda works at Fort Knox in Kentucky, a military installation whose parents are from Zimbabwe and Nigeria, respectively.
She enlisted in the military in 1994 and earned her pilot license after passing the Army Aviation Officer Basic Course. She was born in London, United Kingdom.
