OSIMHEN APPRECIATES NAPOLI DESPITE THEIR CHALLENGING VICTORY OVER EMPOLI IN SERIE A

Following Tuesday night's Serie A victory over Empoli, Victor Osimhen praised his Napoli teammates.

The opponents, who were keen to get something from the game, stretched Luciano Spalletti's team for a considerable amount of time.

When Osimhen won a penalty and Hirving Lozano, a substitute, converted it, Napoli finally broke their defense at the hour mark.

Two minutes from time, Piotr Zielinski, another replacement, scored the second goal.

Osimhen celebrated the victory on social media and lauded his team's mental tenacity.

"Top Notch Mentality From The Boys, We Keep It Moving @sscnapoli," Osimhen wrote on his Twitter handle.

The Parthenopeans have now triumphed in their previous 10 Serie A contests.

Following the victory, Napoli increased their lead over the reigning champions, AC Milan, to eight points, with 38 points from 14 games.

In their following league contest, Spalletti's team will play Udinese.
